Miramax and Broad Green Pictures have announced that they will shoot a sequel to the 2003 comedy "Bad Santa" and that the original star Billy Bob Thornton will return. "Bad Father Christmas" tells the story of a thief who goes to the mall to dress up as Santa Claus in order to steal. Different from the Santa Claus we usually see, Billy Bob Thornton's Santa Claus smokes, drinks, and has bad views and is full of negative energy. However, this kind of character makes people feel very new. When the movie was released that year, it achieved box office success as a dark horse. Bad Santa 2 is scheduled to be released in the United States during Christmas 2016, and filming will start in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in January next year.
